After a hectic week full of deadlines, last Friday was our highly anticipated Girls’ Night Out for the women of Weddingclick’s Editorial Department. We decided to unwind at the ultra-chic South Beach hotel, The Setai, after receiving ravishing reviews from another co-worker. Four pairs of high heels and manicured toes stepped into my car, and we headed out in style to the trendy Setai hotel.
The lobby provided us with a striking first impression; infused with natural materials and bold chocolate
brown accents, the design vision artfully combines
Asian influence with Miami’s Art Deco style.
Art plays a key role at The Setai with an assortment of sleek sculptures strategically placed around the hotel. We headed outdoors to the intimate Pool and Beach Bar, famous for its tranquil fountains reflecting the moonlit sky. The illumination was absolutely extraordinary, and provides a romantic setting for discerning couples. Hip lounge music was playing in the background, and the crowd was undeniably composed of Miami’s elite professionals.
After we finished admiring our surroundings, a tall handsome waiter escorted us to a table and took our drink orders. The hotel is extremely accommodating and flexible, allowing us to choose from every drink imaginable and specify exactly how we wanted them prepared. The drinks were refreshingly delicious and we had exemplary service throughout the night. After our four rounds of drinks we were especially giddy, and wisely decided to explore the hotel’s private beach entrance instead of directly heading back home.
The white sand and glistening ocean make a stunning backdrop for the wooden canopy beds with organza drapes exclusively for The Setai’s guests. The ocean breeze felt spectacular on our skin, and the comfortable canopy beds provided a secluded sanctuary. The night finally drew to a close, and we headed home with dreams of grand celebrations at the ultra-stylish hotel. The Weddingclick team agreed that The Setai is a spectacular location for a crème-de-la-crème wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, engagement party, or even just a romantic date. Whatever the occasion, you’ll be captivated by the exceptional service and artistic vision of South Beach’s Asian/Art Deco gem, The Setai.
